Back Garden Farm  came out of the country homes and the gardens we have worked in. Some of the most beautiful places that man has created, we've been lucky enough to be given the chance by the owners of these estates and grounds to tend them, restore the old and create the new.

The kitchen gardens, lawns, terraces, rivers, lakes and woodlands each have their place and each need care and skill. Outdoor design, planting and care are as much a science as an art. Its about understanding the physiology of plants, how they live and thrive. Its about the selection of  natural materials and the best furniture and accessories to create a scene and set a mood. Its about style and design. It's also about being guardians of our environment, protecting our personal space and using the best of traditional methods with the pick of modern ones, and meanwhile making sure that no other human is exploited in the name of our enjoyment.

We started Back Garden Farm because, as a Head Gardeners and Garden Designers we know what works, but we also know that not everyone wants a designer or a head gardener.
